Manufactured from high tenacity 100% fibre Polyester to BS EN 1492-2 and conforming to "The Supply of Machinery (Safety) regulations" 1992 (S1 1992/3073).
The load bearing fibres are wound together to form an endless hank. The Working Load Limit (WLL) is determined by the number of turns in the hank. The hank is protected by a polyester, non load bearing, seamless cover which protects and consolidates the load bearing fibres. Internal damage to these fibres is almost impossible without first damaging the outer sleeve.
These slings have a high strength to weight ration and are a cost effective lifting sling. The material is soft to touch and therefore is less likely to cause the type of damage associated with a wire rope sling or chain and are generally lighter in weight than both wire rope or chain slings, therefore this type of lifting sling is generally much easier to handle.
With a 'Factor Of Safety' of 7:1, this range of slings are colour coded, identifying the relevant WLL (Working Load Limit) and are individually labelled with a unique ID/Serial Number, WLL/Capacity, length and date of manufacture.
