Vikings Season 4 Part 2
1.) Description (Editorial Reviews)
Prepare to raid and wage battle once again, in an ancient kingdom dominated by vengeance, lust and thrilling conquest, in Season 3 of Vikings. The gripping family saga of Ragnar, Rollo, Lagertha and Bjorn continues as loyalties are questioned and bonds of blood are tested. Now king of his people, Ragnar remains a restless wanderer, leading his band of Norse warriors on epic adventures from the shores of Essex to the mythical city of Paris. But stunning betrayals and hidden dangers will test Ragnar's courage and strength like never before. Not Rated.Released by MGM.
Absolutely Love Love Love this series, please keep it going! Love the entire cast especially Ragnar. Travis Fimmel plays Ragnar brilliantly. I hope him and Kathryn Winnick (Lagertha) get back together in the series at some point. I just love Floki and his querky personality. This movie plays right into my love of history and the Viking's adventurous life, albeit, barbaric at times.

1.)Took me a serious minute to get the show on my playlist. But when I finally decided to watch it I WAS HOOKED!!! Take Sons of Anarchy mix a little bit of Game of thrones and Real History and BAM WINNER!!!!! I keep telling my friends they don't know what they are missing. I'm kind of a history buff and I realized real quick how this era is MISSING from us. Never knew who King Ragnar was. But after watching this I started watching documentaries about the Real Ragnar, Ivor and Bjorn. Amazingly written, Perfection of Acting. Cinematography is stunning. This will go down as on of My all time favorite shows. I'm excited to see how far they take it. EVERY CHARACTER touches you, Whether it's good or bad, that's RARE with such a huge cast. Be careful if you're new to this. You might miss work, never leave your house for 2 weeks and miss showers and have your wife kill you. BUT it's so worth it!!!
2.)This whole series is great historical fiction; violence gets a little too much, too graphic for me, so I speed through that some - but the character development and complexity is great - as is casting. Themes of faith predominate; Do the gods/God watch over us; do they shape our failures and triumphs? For both Christian and Viking, these themes play, interwoven with the different practices of religion and sacrifice; and juxtaposed over the brutalities of those of both faiths. The series skillfully illustrates men's similarities by contrasting two apparently different cultures. Sets are great; costuming is great; best viewing in a long time!!
3.)I don't have anything negative to say about Vikings. It was hard to see Ragnar take the direction he did, but the show is so well made I simply accept that a period show has to lose main characters eventually if they are to span a significant period of history. Since Vikings does, it is inevitable. I think the History Channel has done an incredible job, and could take this concept into a large variety of periods and places/events. I love history, seeing it as a drama is unique and given the barbarism of the culture quite exciting. This has been my favorite show every season, and I hope that it continues and spawns others of its kind.
