The solar inverter has many problems to be sorted out. For eg : Roof of a multi tenanted building will NOT easily build a consensus to install solar inverter. In such cases the Govt will be wise to target certain functions like elevator back up power, common area lighting, cooling load reduction etc. Govt regulations are meant to nudge a customer towards renewable energy adoption and not start one more scam.
So solar inverter industry that owns the roof will be first off he mark. All others will fight before the bill hits them into starting solar energy adoption.
All affordable housing projects must have high solar inverter/ REN energy inputs since it is affordable in the long run. Somebody should do a study on glass buildings in Indian conditions before some passerby catches fire or the tenants become poor due to high cooling bill.
Inverter should be allowed to lease their lamposts and other properties in distribution areas to GridCo. Gridco can use this for solar PV inverter and they can participate in TOD spoils. This will prevent silly deals for RPO obligations which are being met by transmitting power over long distances. TOD surcharge should be increased gradually and PRE ANNOUNCED. This will help solar inverter. Energy efficient products like inverter AC\'s should compulsorily give customer option of using solar or any REN energy. This will accelerate education and decisions.
Better than putting 4000 MW in one place.
